Promotional Teddy Bears R Us!
Ever wondered how you can engage better with your customers; how you can make your brand stand out and be more exciting than your competitors? Well, welcome to the wonderful world of promotional teddy bears!
Often companies give out the same standard pens, mugs, mouse mats etc. These gifts all have their rightful place, but imagine the reaction you would get from your customers if you suddenly did something vastly different. It would make them stand up and take notice!
Teddy bears are best suited to female orientated work places, so it’s probably best to evaluate the effectiveness of your product choice. But you can be assured that opinions will sway in your favour if you impress those all important female colleagues in the work force!
Other promotional products can often appear bland and unimaginative; all your competitors will be investing in the same gifts and after a time it will be hard to distinguish between your company and your competitors, So, to get noticed in this highly competitive market you have to differentiate and be creative. Customers love companies that can use their creativity and innovation to win over their hearts.
For the very best selection of customised teddy bears, please see Promotional Teddy Bears.

I was interested to read this item as I had never thought about promotional teddy bears but then I guess ladies love them and probably have them sitting on their desk, not the right product for me though I’d feel a bit silly having a bear on my desk.

I am a little on the fence with this one. I’m not so sure how it would work out and what kind of impression my client has of me if I do give out promotional teddy bears. But I see that family-type and kids-related events would benefit from this very much.

I think children would love these. It makes me think a little of the Harrods Bear. There is a different bear every year (the type of bear, colour and clothing differ) and they are extremely collectable and sought after. I can see the appeal of promotional bears.

I think this one isn’t suitable for all companies out there. For someone that sells toys, it’s great, but otherwise it’s not really an effective promotional tool. Unless it represents your mascot, then it’s different, but even in that case it can only serve as an eye-catcher on a shelf or placed somewhere else…. or as a toy.

Wow, I will be excited if i hear that My company is giving away a teddy bear. This will be a great promotional idea especially when the company wants to target the female groups.
I agree with Greggory, that it is not a good promotional tool because only the people who receive these kinds of items will get to know about the company.

Promotional teddy bears seems a very different idea, especially it can attract women customers. A teddy bear in a show case having a brand name on it will definitely help. It really is a very bright idea.

I agree with the people above. Promotional teddies will be helpful for some companies but not for the most. It will be useful for companies that are dealing with children or toy making the most effectively. In other situations it will just a waist of time or it will even bring disappointment in the customers.

teddy bears doesnt always mean the big conventional teddy bear dolls we see often … it can be anything. anythings such as small cute ones that can be worn on a keyring. i guess teddy tshirts are a good option .. these can be used by anyone . not just kids…
September 7th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
The audience to receive the teddy bears must be screened carefully for situatability. It is probably more suitable for females and for marrried people with kids. Also, as the cost of bears tend to be on the high side, only premium customers should get it.

Like previously said, this would’nt be the best investment for all companies. But any company that would like to target young children should invest in this type of promotion. My friends company sells their bears for $1 a piece and only loses $0.25 per bear. But they do sell a ton of them. And if you were to buy pens, they cost about $0.25 and are lost more easily then a bear.
September 7th, 2008 at 7:37 pm
According to my experience, not many people manage to do that. So far, i believe not all company interested to use this as their promotional item. Only few company will do that if their product related with teddy bear. But it really can attract some people like kids and girls. Just try and use it if you still try to find your promotional item. Small teddy bear really will be a good choice for your company.

I must admit I have never seen a company using a teddy bear as a promotional gift but I think is a terrific idea specially to women who tend to like things like that. Pebble is right, kids will love this as well and if the teddy in question have clothing that names the company in question then I think is an effective tool.

Promotional teddy bears is the gift that keeps on giving. They are cute, cozy and cuddly. Who could not love such an promotional item? I disagree with the above comments. Teddy bears do not only attract children and women. Trust me, there are men out there that are looking to add to the child hood collection. In fact, just yesterday I was shopping at the local mall. I witnessed several older and younger men browsing the teddy bear section. My point of view is that promotional teddy bears is a great marketing ploy. No matter age, size or gender. Everyone loves a friendly and heart felt animal.

I’m a little bit reluctant to agree with what Freddie says about Teddy Bears being an item that is not just for children and Women but you never know I guess. I think that despite the slightly limited gender appeal of Teddy Bears they are certainly a memorable item as far as promotions go.

This was very interesting article! But I think this is not very good promotional product because teddy bears are expensive. Every child and every girl like teddy bears but one boy on 5 years can`t buy our products and his father never will buy product which is promote on the teddy bear. But they are great to promote women products because teddy is very memorable.

Promotional teddy bears can be a great means of advertising. A good idea would be to get the bear in the hands of the person’s child. The kid is apt to keep the bear for a long time and seeing it will warm the heart of the adult customer you’re trying to reach. It’s also very unique and will stand out from the crowd.

yes i do agree with what james has said above. its would be a great idea to give the teddy bear to the child of the person . in that we are indirectly able to influence the person we had aimed at . though he may not be interested because of his son he may love it .

Pebbles hit it right on the head.
If the market that you’re giving the promotional teddy bears to has children this strategy is genius.
Not only do you you have a happy parents that are able to give their children a item that they will love, you have a subtle form of advertising that will be viewed every time the child brings it around.
This is a great idea all around.

i believe most customer have kids. So, this is a good promotional kids already and some company know about their target. I guess, many parents want to give their kids some nice gift like teddy bear right?
Just don’t forget, make that teddy looks cute!
September 30th, 2008 at 8:58 am
Great item - you can advertise everything on them: products for men, women, kids etc.
for men? yes, fathers are great market
for women? cosmetics etc, - even older women like teddy bears IMO
kids? that’s obvious.
I also agree with titan - make them cute, not some scary monsters

I go with Kempo’s view. Many other comments above states that teddy bears cannot be that much effective as a promotional item. But I firmly believe that it is a nice and innovative choice. It is very obvious that teddy bear is one of the most attractive item. It attracts nearly everyone irrespective of the age. It can be used mostly in the children section of the shop which attracts more children and the details of the shop will spread between the kids.

Some have said that teddy bears are simply for the children. I disagree. The children are the one’s who are going to make your promo item stick around! It’s the parents who notice the logo when they go to pick up, or god forbid try to take away the teddy bear from the child! haha. With any luck, that teddy bear becomes the kid’s favorite toy for a while, and the parents start to take notice of the company that gave them a moment of rest while the child is amused!

I love this idea! How anyone cannot like getting a teddy bear as a gift is beyond me. Everyone knows a child that would love one they could give it to. I think this is a fabulous idea that would really stick in your mind even if you didn’t keep it yourself. That’s the whole idea of promotional items, is it not? To be memorable.
I can’t believe how cheap they are too! Have a look closer at the ones linked to in the last sentence then see if you feel the same. The Teddy Bear UK with the coat is just too cute! I’d love them and don’t think you absolutely have to be related to a particular industry type to give these away though being in a child related one obviously has its advantage.

Great site I found it very informative.

Promotional teddies will surely fetch the attention of children, so by promoting this the company and its products will fetch a very good reputation from the public. Teddies with fluffy and attractable colors will be loved by children , the companies logo will play the major role here.

Teddy bears work as promotional product only if your target is a young girl, or children. Teddy bears just cannot work for all companies, it would be waste of an exercise. Yes, if your target is a girl, children this will surely be the most effective & will build a bond for many years.

I agree with Arrow. using teddy bears as promotional item could be most effective if the targeted audience are women and children. But then, since there are a lot of women and children out there, this could work so well. However, compared to other items, this comes at a higher price. But still, it could work well. As it is true, getting a cute and cuddly teddy bear will certainly surprise anyone.
I think the underlying message of this article is that you must stand out from the overcrowded marketers all pushing for their own brands and products. For now, this idea could really works. By the time, a lot are picking up the use of teddy bears, then it is time to find something new. That’s the way it is with marketing…find something new or recycle an old idea but with added twist. The bottom line is to get the attention of your audience.

teddy bears are very effective when you promote a company who are basically focused on kids for their market, I will not recommend it for any other company or industry to try out that kind of promotion which will only attract kids.
November 7th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
This has to be a good niche as said earlier in this comment list, most people have kids, so to give a teddy to a kid would obviously get their recognition. As being a kid myself one day i have received teddy’s from my father who has attended events. I myself think its a good idea.
November 8th, 2008 at 1:54 pm
if someone is promoting kids product or something related to youth(best if girls)than teady bears are the most attracting gift you can give to your customers.According to kids and grils really love soft toys.I personally know some girls who are so fond of soft toys than they can buy anything to get free soft toys.
Promoting products in a different way like this can led to huge success.

yeah, i just checked out the promotional teddy bears here, they’re really cute and looked really huggable, it’s a great giveaway product. i’d also love to receive one of those. : ) it’s actually, not only designed for kids, but also for young and old women alike. it really looks so cuddly, i would also love to give those to my friends kids. they just need to have a real good quality to get a big following.
November 17th, 2008 at 10:06 am
Wow, this is a new one. I think it could work. It would work especially well for businesses that deal with youth. However, there are so many parents out there that they would probably really enjoy taking home a gift for their little one at the end of the day.

Teddy bears are a great way to endear yourself to your customers! Add your logo on the front and you have an item that won’t be thrown away! Great idea!
