Promotional Products That Give Your Business the Winning Edge
There is a wide array of promotional products available and each has their own unique and powerful way in bringing benefits to both the companies and the clients. If you want to increase sales leads or introduce new products, you can use promotional products and gifts.
Although print and TV ads are also mediums to advertise, they are very expensive and may not be affordable when you’re just starting a business. This is why many companies are investing on promotional products because in the end, their return of investment is good.
So, what makes a great promotional product? A great promotional product is one that is innovative and original, useful to your clients, and discreetly (or boldly) makes BIG statements. If you want your business to reap its promotional product investments, carefully choose what to give your clients.
Here are some promotional product suggestions to help you have that winning edge that you desire.
Wearables
One of the most effective ways to get your message across to your clients is by giving wearables. Wearables can be anything from polo shirts, jackets, hats, and wristbands. Choose items in different stand-out colors and print them with your company’s name, logo, message, and contact details. You can give these to your best customers at trade shows and even to your employees as an incentive. So, every time the t-shirts and jackets are worn, expect free advertising and let these wearables do all the talking for you!
Promotional Mugs
What makes coffee mugs a good promotional product is that it is used practically everyday, during coffee breaks in offices or during early morning breakfasts. Mugs can also be used for soups and tea. They are like mini-advertisements, because you can have your brand name or logo printed on it. Every time someone uses the product, those around him will be constantly reminded about your company.
Office Supplies
These promotional products can range from pens, clipboards, binders, notepads, rulers, stress balls, post-it notes, and other desk accessories. A pen is a very popular promotional product, since it’s really inexpensive and can fit into the budget of either a small or large-scale business. Also, pens are pocket-friendly and your customers can bring and use it anywhere they go. You can also give calculators as these will be very much used in offices whenever someone needs to do some computations.
Aside from the above mentioned promotional products, there are still a lot more: cooler bags, coasters, calendars, carrier bags. Just remember to give interesting items that people can use.

The promotional gifts are great because everybody likes a gift. It means something to them. Even if it’s just a pen it shows that they are more then just a customer and will come back for more business. The wearables, promotional mugs and office supplies embedded together in a marketing strategy is a must.

Wearables, Office Supplies, and Mugs are great, but they are pretty standard suggestions. The secret is in the packaging, delivery timing, and connection to business objectives that makes this “stuff” really create a return on investment that the other advertising and marketing isn’t getting done for your client.

The common thread that runs through the various promotional tools is quality and usefulness. For better or for worse, your prospective clients will associate the attributes of these freebies with your actual company and products. Mske sure that no shoddy or substandard gifts tarnish your company’s image and products.

As you stated, each category has certain benefits and purposes. Personally, I like to use the mugs as it actually is physically touched more often by a client. As odd as it may sound, it does create a bit of intimacy with your company. Trust me, I know it works and works quite well. As far as wearables, I have used those in the past but usually I save those for special occasions.

hello there… i happen to be from India… just happened to stumble across your blog during some wee hour browsing
thoroughly enjoyed it.. but i had to comment on this one in particular.. back in India, gift ideas is a subject, which still requires ample information to be appended, essentially because the online space is not as developed and most shoppers still have to rely on far flung international sources for the details. Gadgets however, promise to change the scenario. Big names have realised this & recently Apple have introduced the thought of ipods as corporate gifts, which if u think about, is a great idea with their own website offering great deals on volume purchases.

I would disagree on wearables.
Most people, young or old, care to some extent about fashion. They like fancy, fashionable clothing, or unique clothing that makes a personal statement. I personally would not wear promotional clothing out, and I’m sure many other people feel the same way.

Well I dont have any experience about the other one but I can suggest you the promotional gift as mugs because so many deal taking long time and where is long time the coffee break should be there and now you can understand what I like to tell you.

I beg to disagree with Lex, I, though, would love to receive wearables from polo shirts to armbands especially if these comes from a refutable company that I belong to. I would not think twice before choosing a polo shirt with the company logo than that of a coffee mug or a paper weight. It just goes to show that I’m proud of the company I’m in.

erratum: instead of refutable that is respectable… sorry

Apparels as a promotional gift needs to be designed in such a way that it caters to all age. I personally think a t shirt with just a logo of the company wouldn’t promote ur company it should specifically towards something which you have recently started like “I Have brought My friend to work DID YOU?”
This is a Promotional gift for referring ur friend to work with ur company!!!! Isnt That Kewl????

I have to be honest with you here, I never wear anything that a business gives me, though I think this is due to the importance to a woman of what she wears.
I do, however, always use any mugs, office supplies, bags, tags, anything like that that I get. They are useful and they don’t effect the way I appear to my own company.

I agree with Oli, I never wear any type of clothing a company gives me. I do wear a companys clothes if I have to pay for them though. SO I would build up my site and then order the clothing to sell. Thanks for the info though.

Understand this is personal for a women to wear the t shirts which has been gifted by the company but thats where the it can capitalize wt i say that the outfit should be designed in such a way that no one should be felt ashamed or feel insecure by wearing the same
