How many of us have picked up a promotional pen and used it? The answer is the majority of us. Step into any branch of Barclays bank and you will see boxes of promotional pens carefully placed in strategic areas.
Why do they do this? Mainly because this kind of advertising works in two specific ways; the bank is giving their valued customers something useful for free. Barclay’s customers will respond to this form of promotion well, because they feel they are getting a bargain, and they didn’t even have to pay for it!
Secondly the Bank’s company name and logo is being advertised all over the UK at a very low cost. Promotional pens are available in many interesting designs and colours; just choose a design that best represents your company or business. Always buy good quality promotional pens, never cheap and nasty pens. Spending just a few pence more can make all the difference when it comes to promoting your business. There’s a big difference between a budget promotional pen and poor quality one. So pick a well respected promotional gift company to buy your promotional gifts from. Whatever line of business you are in corporate or just starting out, a promotional pen is a universally popular choice of customer gift. Look after you customers and they will look after you. www.argonpromo.co.uk.

Thanks for articles, I have searched for a promotional blog for a long time. The subject matter is interesting, I face the same issues about promo products coming from China too, but I suspect I have more local products here in Turkey than you guys have in the UK.

I will be honest here and tell you that I use personalized pens with my company logo, name and URL embossed on them, for my daily use and for office use. You know how pens can often and easily get “lost” (i.e. someone mistakenly took it)? I thought, why not use that to my advantage? It takes no effort on my side to “distribute” them

When I am at a work conference with a number of stands on display, I usually pick up a pen or two. They are extremely useful, come in a range of styles and colours and are memorable too - making you think of where the pen came from. The ones I have used tend to be fairly inexpensive, but I can see that high quality pens would also make a nice gift for employees.

They make nice gifts for customers too and of course being used every day helps people remember you. The great thing about pens is they come in all sorts of colours and prices from the cheap plastic pen to the executive sheaffer pen giving the buyer a wide range to choose from for his campaign.

I have also received promotional pens but most of the times they were cheap and of bad quality, which created a bad impression of the company, so in my opinion such pens should be of good quality, as they can really help in promoting the brand name.

I think that pens are the best option for promotion that a company should choose. Every intelligent men should have a pen in his pocket in anytime. So that brings high exposure for the company. Pens are used worldwide in every moment and they are important for some deals that require a signature. And when there is a logo of the company on it, you are most likely to see it and read it.

Any corporate company and some schools will choose pen as their promotional item. Some hotels also use this too. To be honest, its cheap and really helpful item. We need to use pen to signiture and for write something right? I think its a good choice to choose pen. So, if you run small or big company. Try to suggest pen or pencel as your promotional item. Its cheap and you can order it for huge number. People also can remember it because at their pen have your company or hotels name right?

I’ve face same experiences as Nigel. I only used the pens for 4-5 times, then the ink problems. So sad and the companies fail to attract me for the first impression. huhu… Besides, I also agree with titan. For example, when the hotel give their customers nice pencil or pen, its good. Customers will appreciate it and will keep it as collection. Next time, lets say after several years. When the same customers visited again to that place, their will remembered the hotel which they have been stay before. Oh, I remember the hotel we’ve stay before because I keep the nice pencil that the staff gave me. The other services are great too.

Sit down at your desk, with your stationary and your letter writing pen. The pen is made of blue ink. Engraved on the pen is that of a hotel name. You are impressed as the name stands out in malleable gold. You decide it is time to do a Google search. You need to find out where you can order several more pens like the one being held in your hand.
The point of the story here is promotional pens make a good impression. Everyone is in desire need of writing material.

Well I agree that they use them for advertisements…But as far as I think people prefer less to use bank pens or promoted pens…
They have their own pens which might be promoted by companies like Parker, etc….
Then it is a effective way!!

It is a great way to advertise our company to local market. Most of the multinational companies can choose mainstream media to advertise which will cost higher than this. Choosing a good quality pen and use it to advertise our brand looks very promising to me. The best part is, even low scale companies can do this advertisement to win customer’s preferred brand.

Pens cost nothing to buy or produce, this is why i feel they are the best and cheapest way to promote your company as everybody needs a pen for their day to day lives! When i go to a company fair i always pick up lots of pens, as you can never have too many.
