They are always the perfect size for a good cup of coffee, and I get excited whenever I receive a new one to add to my collection. I do think these are good, practical items. I also agree with Santosh that a well designed mug always reflects very well on the company that sent it. Too simple or cheap looking always seems to indicate the company is less professional. I have about a dozen promotional mugs, all from companies I have used over the years, mostly IT and Telecommunications related, and I use them a lot. They are always the perfect size for a good cup of coffee, and I get excited whenever I receive a new one to add to my collection. I do think these are good, practical items.

And the people, who are ready to carry around a mug, are not that much. Besides, if a company invests a bit more on design (not only logo, but design of the mug itself), a very interesting product will be present. Think about it. Using mugs in our daily life is one of the things we don’t pay attention to, but it exists.
