Promotional mats were popular years ago and actually made a good advertising. But nowadays they are .. not useless, but have a bit less usage. People switch not only to mouses that don’t require a mat, but to tablets that are suited for some special … “mats”. But I think they are something nice to have - I keep my waterfish upon a promotional mouse mat and it suits me well!

This is the cheapest promotional tool to give away.
Durability and cost effective are the forth most things.
But the only way you can make people use them is the graphics look and design. Think of some stunning shape instead of those decades old rectangular mouse mats.

Nowadays most mouses do not need a mouse pad to operate. To make sure that a mousepad is used, you have to make sure that is very attractive and unique. Otherwise smost people would not bother as the mousepad simply add clutter to the desk. So again, make sure your mousepad catches the eye and jumps out!

Promotional mouse pads is another best way to improve the reputation of the company on the software side. Most of the offices are equipped with a PC , which will of course have a mouse pad, so the mouse pads with the logo of the company, with a decent look, will fetch a very good response from the people.

Really great tips for giving mouse mats as promo gift. I agree with Van too. Actually, I like the point as state at fourth paragraph. From my opinion, customised mouse mats show that you’ve branding yourself not only by providing a great services but from a promotional gifts too.

Mouse mats are one of the most common product for promotion. Because the cost of production is low and it doesnot involve much time. The company should be quality concsious. so that the promotional product is of good quality. The name of the company should be properly printed highlighting its logo.

Mouse mats is considered as one of the most popular promotional products because it is a practical item and they get to used often. It is handy , colorful and the logo of your business is really visible since a lot of people do spend a lot of there time in front of there computer. As I stated in my other comment - sounds good but I thing those are the things of the past. But if you do give them there is one very important thing that has be taken into consideration - their colour.

As we all know most of the people / companies use optical mouses and they do not work well with every colour.

A few years back I got a beautiful Diablo II mat. I could not use it however as my mouse was optical and could not use it on a red mat

so the mat ultimately ended up in the bin - I tried to use it for some time but got only frustrated - my chracter wouldn’t respond to my moves
