Promotional Mouse Mats: Picking the Perfect Design

Want a promotional item that will be regularly used, look great and is excellent value? Mouse mats offer a great opportunity to show your brand in style. You can match colours, materials and designs to suit your company image and the result will be a practical item that advertises your message with flair every time your customer moves their mouse.

With so many options, you may have trouble deciding on the best mouse mat for your promotional needs, so here are a few points to consider if you want your mats to be a ‘must-have’ at conferences and in the office.

Colour: subtle or bold? You really can match this to flatter your logo and company marketing style. It’s wise to pick one that reflects your business type and message, so a stylish navy leather design may be ideal for you, or why not surprise your clients with something bold and daring, such as an eye-catching translucent red gel mat?

Your branding: where and what? Where should it go on the mat? Most effective is the top right hand side, so think about if it’s your logo or your slogan that you want to appear on the insert. Or maybe one image, such as a great photo of your team, will say all your advertising needs to say?

Material: practical or fun? Surprisingly, you can have both! Ergonomic designs are key for promotional mouse mats; after all comfort when at work or home is key when using a computer. So a gel mouse mat with a wrist rest is a popular and fantastic looking option if you want a product that your clients will want to look at and that will last. Or opt for a royal blue, ultra-thin soft foam option for a non-slip mouse mat that will make your logo shine, or an optical finish which works perfectly with optical mice.

With a massive choice of mouse mats available, there’s bound to be an option for you to promote your company to your clients whenever they boot up their computer. That’s great exposure for your brand and a chance for you to find the bespoke option that’s perfect for your company’s promotional message.

The foam mouse mats with hard tops are still a lovely long term promo item, my first mouse mat mailing is still working for me and that went out two whole years ago.

Stan what a great idea, we all use mouse mats every day, do the foam ones work well for optical mice. Mine seems to prefer a very thin mat.

Promotional mouse mats seem to be a staple promo tool among IT companies. It not only reflects their business, but also always useful to their clients who are most definitely computer users.

My favorite is the foam type mouse mats; they’re comfortable for those times when I need to spend hours on my computer doing my work.

I love the foam mouse mats too - they seem more durable than the gel type. In my place of work, mouse mats in corporate colours are given out to employees and clients. The mat contains the company’s mission statement and objectives and it is a great way of remembering those!

Each company must know how to have a mouse mat to measure. Thus, the mouse pad will reflect the company’s image, that’s why it is imperative to pay attention to all the characteristics that must be the mouse mat.

I think that it’s a great promotional tool because even my pad has a company name on it. They are good because there is a big exposure of the company and more and more people continue to buy computers and mouse pads with them too.

In the current environments whereby computers sit on every desk, an attracrtive mosuepad will be a welocmed adddtion to the dreary desk. Bear in mind that nowadays most mouse do not need a mouse pad to operate, so a mousepad is there sometimes simply for ornamental purpose and nobody says mouse pad must be rectangular!

With a good logo and product these make a great promo tool. Especially if sold for say $1.00 Everyone likes a good mouse mat and when its dirt cheap its hard to resist not to buy it. And everytime someone uses it they will see and think about your company.

Jonesey, I love the foam ones as well! They’re very comfortable specially if you work long hours like I do behind a computer! I don’t care too much about the design as long as they’re comfortable.

Sooner or later you mouse pad becomes both dirty and worn out. Frustration starts to settle in. You are having a hard time connecting to eBay. Your mouse pad is driving you crazy. What to do! Easy solution. Head on over to Best Buy and purchase a brand new mouse pad. Business owners know that mouse pads wear and tear. They know you need the Internet to finish school work. They also know computer users need a mouse pad to help guide their mouse. There is money to be made in the creation of mouse pads. This is a terrific marketing tool :)

I must say that mouse mats are an effective promotional item and I am surprised that I don’t see it used more often. My father’s company would constantly be giving them away with packages and I assume they are cheap to produce and have lasting appeal.
