Promotional items: tailor them to your company’s real needs

When considering promotional itemsto advertise your company, there is a dizzying array of options to choose from. But don’t be daunted; whether you go for something small yet practical for your clients and customers or premium and impressive, if you’re clear on what you want your advertising to achieve, you’ll see that there is a promotional item to suit your needs perfectly.

First consider the cost. It doesn’t always mean producing a few items bearing your business name. Don’t exclude any of your customers or clients from your message, because the greater the quantity you buy, the better the savings are in terms of discount. And items don’t have to be posted or given out all at once – pick a timeless item such as pens or promotional letter openers, and there’ll always be a box to hand should you need to impress at short notice.

Think about the item type. Regardless of cost, the item has to be right for your message and for your company’s image. So maybe you’re looking for something fun to celebrate your first year in business, and want a promotional gift that will make your clients smile – why not customise a cuddly teddy with your logo? Or maybe you want to arm your sales force with embossed conference folders that will represent the company in style, or perhaps offering handy promotional Post-it notes or pens at exhibitions and trade fairs is the soundest idea for your prospective clients? There really is something to suit everyone, and as a result, your advertising will be focused, targeted and of course, effective.

So whatever you choose to send or give out as a promotional item, if you’re looking to increase brand awareness of your company and make the right decision about which item is best for you, the type and cost are crucial places to start. Whether you opt for durable and useful items or fun and popular pieces, your clients will thank you for it and it will serve to make you stand out from your competitors for many months to come and whenever that item is used!

Why have promotional gifts gone so expensive this year? is there a link between rising oil prices , food prices and sales promotions gifts ? no wonder we are in the middle of a down turn

  2. Bec Says:

Stan I think everything has gone mad and in some way this is being hyped up by the press who are making sure we all know we are in a down turn. As for the cost of things I think all types of raw materials and transport have gone up and as a result everything has risen in price including the good old loaf of bread.

Calculation of the cost and other liabilities to make a promotional product is really important thing which should be done in a right way so that there is no mistakes. It is also important to choose the right promotional product which are cheap and give your company message clearly but prices of all the products have gone up these days and i think this is something which can make some changes in products companies choose.

My opinion same as peter. Considering the cost and type of promotional items are important in order to boost your company. In this case, decision making should be done correctly. At last, make sure the promotional items you’ve choose will make your clients happy and increasing your company brand awareness too.

Well i think risen oil prices this year has definitely affected the all types of areas including raw material, transport. However, i agree that promotional items should be chosen wisely because it shows how much you value your customers.

I would say that the need is the same is all case - to promote your company and/or your products and the gift whatever it is, must be consistent with the company and products’ image. All other considerations should be applied to the receiver of the gift.

As the cost you cant put aside when try to promote your brand, it is really importent to try to find a way when your promotional item is in best harmony with your companies product, and same time it is effective enough for you to show your brand and gain the most from recognition.

This article contains great advice for helping companies decide what promotional items to purchase.

There was a old saying that I believe fits here, “if you go after everyone, you’ll get no one”.

If you take the time to see your what promotional items your market would find useful, you’ll reach a whole lot more people than you would if you were to do otherwise.
