Heh heh Frank. I agree with you about the stress toys . Given that work is a major cause of stress for a lot of people, it would make sense to have some sort of ball or squishy. I am a big fan of stationery myself, so pens, notepads and mats are my favourite. I have seen company “Post It” notes and these work well.

To me, a good promotional gift for the office is something that is practical and can be used. Office stationery would be a safe (though unimaginative) option, allowing users to constantly use them and constantly seeing the company logo. Make sure to pick some gitt that have enough space to showcase your company logo and perhaps some information.

you use stress toys to hit each other, girlies, I use to work with a mad geordie, called Hamish who use to like to throw a compass into chairs when stressed, the compass would often bounce off the chair, use to scare the sxxt out of me, must google his name to see if he is still alive.

I like the idea giving away promotional gifts that appeal to our technologically driven lifestyle. The USB pendrive that have the company logo and name is one of the example… I like that idea! I have this one USB pendrive that receive as a promotional gifts when I attended I.T expo two years ago and I still use that USB pendrive, on that pendrive it has a company name and logo and also company e-mail address. That’s cool.

I also had a strange boss Stan who had a soft toy that he would throw across the room if he got annoyed. Charlie I agree USB drives are a great idea I use them all the time to transport my music from my PC to my laptop and to take copies of minutes to my various meetings. Always being used and the logo on them always being seen by different people.

In my opinion, this is the best way you can promote your business, especially if the gift is an object that will often be used. Mugs, for example or stress toys, as some of you have already mentioned, are a perfect gift, because you know they won’t remain on a shelf and get covered in dust.

Usb pen drive is a good giveaway from a company because it can be used in many ways, I mean for office purposes. I recently received a 2 gb pen drive.
Companies can even promote these kind of products by conducting simple contests also.

I just back from Shanghai because had outside meeting over there. Once the meeting finish each person gifted USB pen drive with company logo on it. Even its look simple but really attract people. As we know most of the people surely use pen drive right so I think that really reasonable and useful gift.

Lots of interesting comments and everyone has a good point to make. I think there are lots of different things to use and people can take advantage of this making sure that the product they choose fits their campaign. i.e. USBs for a computer company.

Promotion of your business by coffee mugs and pens is a good idea. But if we think as a common man I don’t think one would really see what is there written in the mug. He would just pour milk and coffee and would be thinking how do i get my job up to the next level. Though the point you are making is right. People do promote through pens and notepads but i don’t think it is that much effective.

I really liked the comments about the stress balls..lol…wish I could do the same to my boss ‘accidently’ ;). However I think the ideas listed above in the article are pretty cool, I am more of a traditional kind of person and prefer the usual office stationary. Mouse mats drive me up the wall and I seriously think that they are a bad gift idea. However I think most people would love recieving pen drives as gifts as they are extremely functional and portable and practially everyone uses them on a daily basis.

I would like to accept abhishek views. He has said exactly what happens in the real world. I really drink soft drinks everyday. But till now i do not exactly what is written on the bottle or on the cap. Everybody is so busy with their own works and forget to watch these things. But atleast to some extent, they prove to be fruitful. We cannot oppose it totally.

If for office, we have many variety. Not only with mugs. I also got others gift like umbrella, pen, pencil, mouse pad and some stickers. All of this promotional gift really a good way to advertising your company and attract more customer. Sometimes, even lighter also might be an interesting gift for some company and office. their is a lots of different promotional product which is perfect for office…maybe they wildest variety of products. You can use from lanyards to mugs, from pens to mouse mats a lot of different product tp present your brand, and make it know thru everyday use. It might be also a good way to mix the different products in the office, for even better visibility.
