One issue about calculators that are often not addresed is what type of battery should be used - normal alkaline AA or AAA ones or lithum. Lithum batteries calculators are definitely better but more expensive than using alkaline batteries but the latter is good for a mass market.

Calculator is not the best promotional product, despite being the most useful in offices all around the world. It cannot be termed a successful promo tool because it is mostly in table drawers, there are so many keys that it is difficult to place a company logo to market.

Promotional calculators are always handy, in an office workplace a calculator is great and very handy. Like a pen it is something that you always use and one of the most important tools in the workplace. As many people these days cannot use mental arithmetic and use a calculator to save their brain.

Give away calculators for the clients, for employees, and as a freebie to the customers. This is yet another cheap promotional tool.

Calculators are one of the best promotional gifts, And specially those with the dazzling looks , with gold touched edges , make it look pretty gorgeous .Of course calculators are badly needed by every individual in day to day life. So it is surely a successful item for promotion.

It is a good idea but for me it won’t really work. These days, calculator can be found in laptop, computer, mobile, palm, etc.. So, regular calculator will not get regular usage. Personally, I would not choose calculator as a promotional tool to advertise my company. Students still uses calculator but scientific type. If we want to tackle student market, then it is wise but also very expensive gift.

I think the author has written a wonderful description about using the calculators as promotional material. The most important thing in this is that the author has also mentioned the reasons of attraction of different customers.
My suggestion is that, the promotional material should be one way or the other related to the product.

Calculators the most expensive from all the other promotional gifts. But you don’t have to regret it if you choose calculators for promotion of your company. People will see that you care about your work, and will be impressed and this way they will try your service again for sure.

In my opinion the idea is great but might be a bit expensive as other posters suggested.

One of the best places to use as advertisement would be schools - of course if your company sells product which are for the kids / students. In this case just a simple calculator with a few math functions would do. Simple = not expensive and kids are good customers

I don’t think anyone uses fancy calculators for marketing campaign for large companies. A too fancy calculator will look awkward in office. But if you want to use it at your home them it can be fine.
